I was the Sexual Predator Coordinator in Broward County for over 5 years and I was a Career Criminal Detective for 8 years. During this time I met a lot of parents of missing and murdered kids. I noticed that they all had one thing in common and that is that they did not do anything until their child became a victim. Parents are not the victims, children are the victims from Sexual Predators. A parent does carry a emotional scare that their child has become a victim. Many times one parent will blame the other parent. This does not help and it can destroy a marriage and a family. What you need to do is, get involved. The penalties for drunk driving have made a positive impact against accidents involving alcohol. Credit for that impact can only be given to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD). Since it’s inception in 1980, and almost devoid of assistance by similar organizations, their purpose has been to end drunk driving. Although they have come so far, there still remains a long road ahead. The lives of so many children have been cut short and many other kids have been left without mothers and fathers due to the ignorance and self-serving actions of drunk drivers and those that let them drive.

The Michigan Amber Alert for Shamarcus Edwards has been canceled. The mother was reunited with her 8-month-old daughter early today after the child was reported missing more than 10 hours earlier.

Police found the baby, Shamarcus Edwards, about 8 a.m. at an apartment along Prairie Parkway SW, about three blocks from her home on Taft Avenue near 28th Street.

The Wyoming Police Department and The Michigan State Police have issued an Amber Alert for Shamarcus Edwards, the child was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities believe she may have been abducted by her mentally challenged cousin Tremain McGee.

Abduction Details: The Garland Police Department have issued an Amber Alert for 7-year-old Dakota Parker and 5-year-old Elizabeth Michelle Parker. The two children were last seen on Friday May 11th at approximately 8:30 p.m. with 36-year-old Jonathan Benjamin Taylor. The suspect is the children’s step-uncle, and he took them from his mother’s house to take them shopping Friday evening. When he failed to return with the children by Saturday morning a missing persons report was filed. Authorities and the family have tried to locate the three through family contacts and friends throughout the weekend, with no success. Abduction Details:

The Paris Police Department and The Texas Department of Public Safety have issued an Amber Alert for 12-year-old Alyssa Ann Frazier.

Local law enforcement have a suspect in custody who claims to have taken Alyssa to a motel in the Dallas area. Internet activity led to a meeting with the suspect, William Lewis Rhone, 24, and police say there is a possibility she may be in the Llano, Texas area.

Troy Charles James Squalls has been found safe. Authorities report that the boy's mother admits she made up the whole story after extensive questioning. The mother actually gave the boy to a friend. She will now face charges. Anyone involved in the child's disappearance could also be charged. The two-year-old is currently in the care of protective services.
