A mother and her four children were found safe Tuesday night at a motel, three days after police said they were abducted by the woman's former boyfriend. Authorities report investigators were able to trace the family to the Sleepy Hollow motel on the city's north side because Walker had made three calls to family members from a nearby pay phone saying they were safe.
Officers knocked on the door of their motel room and heard some rumbling inside, after which Walker opened the door and was trembling and crying. Officers got her to safety and she was followed by all four children. Officers caught White as he was trying escape through an air duct in the room.
